The Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) is a world-class product of the government, which should be complimented and given recognition, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today.

Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, said that based on his observation through media, that there are no countries in the world that offer such services under one roof like the UTC.

“This means UTC is the innovators. UTC is a world-class product of the government which should be recognised.

“There are maybe those who may not agree with this, but this is a fact that history was made,” he said.

Zahid was speaking at the appreciation dinner for the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) management at Boraombak Marina Putrajaya here this evening.

He added that the people should admit the good initiative by the government even if they are not supporting the leadership.

Also present were Melaka UTC board of directors Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.
